Safety and Hygiene Protocols
The health and safety of our event attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors remain the utmost concern and priority for the Connected Plant Conference. In an effort to maintain the health and well-being of all at our events, we are committed to following the guidelines put in place by the CDC and the U.S. Travel Association. We are currently in the planning stages and the team will be working closely with the Renaissance Austin Hotel and all of our event vendors to ensure the strictest safety protocols are in place to keep our attendees and partners safe. We recognize that the situation is ever-changing and that all events/venues are different, so we will be adapting our protocols constantly and updating our participants on specific safety measures along the way.
As part of Marriott International’s family of brands, the Renaissance Austin Hotel has implemented a multi-pronged approach to meet the health and safety requirements of their “Commitment to Clean” standards.
Here are a few of the changes and enhancements you should expect during your stay:
Shared Responsibility
Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority. Consistent with the most recent CDC guidance, fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas of the hotel, unless required by local law. We ask that unvaccinated guests continue to wear face coverings and practice social distancing when they are in public spaces inside the hotel.
Social Distancing Measures & Contactless Experience
- Signage throughout our hotels to remind guests to maintain social distancing, wear required face-coverings, occupancy limits and seating capacities reductions in our restaurants in compliance with local and state mandates.
- Plexiglass partitions have been installed at the Front Desk and our coffee shop for added precautions due to these areas being high touch zones.
- Mobile check-in and key is available for expedited check-in.
- No valet service is currently available for parking.
Enhanced Cleaning Protocols & Housekeeping Service
In keeping with Marriott’s Commitment to Clean, we have made several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout our property and in guest rooms. These include:
Enhanced Public Space Cleaning. We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and escalators as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings), based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities. Guests are required to wear personal face coverings in all public areas.
Guest Room Cleaning. Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. During your stay, we will not provide housekeeping automatically every day. If you wish to receive daily housekeeping refresh service, please let our guest services team know. We will be happy to schedule service according to your preferences.
