Karl is a customer-centric open source professional with over 16 years of experience. He started out working in technical support roles, tackling front line support and then the management of large, strategic customers as a Principal Technical Account Manager at Red Hat. Karl can apply his programming skills to help automate repetitive tasks for departments and greatly improve efficiencies. He has mentored fellow associates and helped hire a number of people who went on to be wildly successful in their careers.

After working in support, he moved into the world of open source product management, first tackling the needs of performance in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and then moving on to Element, to improve the experience for on-premise customers with Element's Enterprise Server Suite platform. Karl finds the intersection of open source and business/customer needs to be an exciting and rewarding place to work!
